Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Lore Warden (“the Service”) is operated by [COMPANY NAME] LTD, company number [COMPANY NUMBER], registered in England and Wales(“we”, “us”). You can contact us at richard.a.d.smith@gmail.com.

By using the Service you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Content & Takedown Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Lore Warden lets you record tabletop wargame battles and tournaments, and generates narrative accounts (“tales”) of those battles using artificial intelligence, optionally with AI voice narration. The Service is a record-keeping and storytelling tool; it does not provide game rules, and it works with whatever game system you play.

3. Eligibility and age

You must be at least 13years old to use the Service. If you are under 18 you should have a parent or guardian’s permission. Paid subscriptions may only be purchased by users aged 18 or over.

4. Accounts and access codes

Parts of the Service can be used without an account via join codes and share links. Where accounts are offered, you agree to provide accurate information, keep your sign-in method secure, and accept responsibility for activity under your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of everything you submit — army and unit names, pasted lists, battle results, notes and other free text (“Your Content”). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, process, display and transmit Your Content for the purpose of operating the Service, including sending it to the third-party AI providers named in our Privacy Policy in order to generate tales and narration.

You warrant that you have the right to submit Your Content and that it complies with our Content & Takedown Policy. In particular, do not paste copyrighted rules text or other material you do not have the right to share.

6. AI-generated content

Tales and narration are fiction generated by AI from Your Content. They are provided “as is”: they may be inaccurate, incomplete or unintentionally similar to other generated output. To the extent we hold any rights in generated tales and narration for your battles, we license them to you for personal, non-commercial use, including sharing via the Service’s share links. Commercial use requires our prior written consent.

7. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service for anything unlawful, infringing, abusive or deceptive.
  • Do not attempt to manipulate the AI into producing prohibited content, or to extract our prompts or systems.
  • Do not circumvent usage limits, probe, scrape at scale, or interfere with the Service’s operation or security.
  • Respect the content rules on public pages set out in the Content & Takedown Policy.

8. Subscriptions and payment

This section applies when paid plans launch. The free tier includes a limited monthly allowance of generated tales. Paid plans, prices and allowances are shown at the point of purchase and billed by our payment provider. You can cancel at any time and retain access until the end of the paid period. Statutory consumer rights, including any applicable cooling-off rights under UK consumer law, are unaffected. Generation allowances are fair-use limits and may be adjusted with notice; already-generated tales and audio remain playable regardless of allowance.

9. Availability and changes

The Service is under active development and provided without guarantee of uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend or withdraw features. If we discontinue the Service or a material feature you have paid for, we will give reasonable notice and a proportionate refund of any prepaid, unused period.

10. Intellectual property and non-affiliation

The Service, its design, software and branding are ours or our licensors’. War Lore Warden is independent of all tabletop games publishers — see the Non-Affiliation Disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for material or repeated breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 5, 6, 12 and 13) survive termination.

12. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under the law of England and Wales, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data caused by events outside our reasonable control, or the content of AI-generated tales; and our total liability in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or £50 if you have paid nothing).

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and its courts have jurisdiction, except that consumers resident elsewhere in the UK may rely on the law and courts of their home nation.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated terms.
